Yakety Yak Llama

Hello Cuties,

Before I go anywhere. This is not a sponsored post or an advert. I am spreading the word out of the goodness of my heart. The observant ones of you will have noticed over the last two years, I have acquired an increasing number of dungarees. And to some it seems they are all I wear. And for good reason, they’re amazingly comfortable, they’re ethical (how many of you know how ethical your clothing is?!) and let’s face it, they’re adorable.

If you have never heard of Lucy & Yak then you must have unfollowed me on social media because quite frankly I don’t shut up about them. Along with the dungarees and other products they sell, there is a whole gang of people that come with them. Hit me up if you want me to add you to the Lucy & Yak Buying/Selling/Trade group on Facebook. It’s full of the most amazing, caring and kind people, like being in a gang, but one which makes you feel 10ft tall and fabulous every day. But beware, it’s full of enablers. Just like me. It is also full of outfit ideas, great deals and you can acquire no longer available limited editions.

Lucy & Yak have only just celebrated their second birthday, and have come so far in such a short space of time. Their staff are wonderful and customer service is second to none. They do now have a store in Brighton which is there for a limited time with pop-ups planned for the other places around the country. If anyone fancies a trip down, just say the word and I’ll happily come along. Of course Llama Tamer and I went down for the opening day and came away with two new items each. He has an equally impressive collection of their products, as pretty much everything they sell is unisex! Llama Tamer also rocks a boiler suit much better than I do!

Price wise, they’re what you would expect to pay in Topshop or Urban Outfitters. But with the warm fuzzy feeling that the person that made them is respected, paid well and looked after. You also don’t look like the masses that walk out of the high street shops. For some this may strike fear. I have had many remarks with regards to my appearance, positive and negative. Obviously I only remember the negative. Especially as my self esteem has been so low recently. But I’ve decided, things that make me happy don’t have to make you happy. If you want to spend your time telling me how awful I look please go ahead. I’m without a doubt more comfortable than you are.

So here’s what’s in my wardrobe from L&Y (and a few snaps of Llama Tamer).. prepare yourself.

Yes I own twelve pairs of dungarees, two pairs of trousers, one pair of dungaree shorts, one boiler suit and a pinafore dress all from the same brand. I’d like to tell you this is my entire dungaree collection but that would be a lie. I have some other brand ones too. If you feel like joining the comfiest, friendliest gang let me know. I can give you a tiny bit off a purchase for referring a friend.

Much love, always

K x

    1. Hello, the group has been closed for a little while but it’s just opened back up. If you search on Facebook under groups it comes up! Thank you so much 🙂 (sorry I took so long to reply, I wanted to see if the group was going to reopen!) x
